November Events
11/1 – National Family Literacy Day
Focus: Encourage families to visit local libraries and sign-up for a library card; invite families to visit the school library to participate in reading activities with students.
11/12- American Education Week
Focus: AEW Kick-Off invite parents to visit classes and announce them over the intercom once they sign-in.
11/14- Education Support Professionals Day
Focus: Have students and parents write letters/thank you notes to ESP; solicit treats from parents and have grade levels make goody bags for ESP (office staff, custodians, cafeteria, bus drivers, and school security)
11/14- Substitute Day
Focus: Recognize all substitutes in building by calling names over intercom. Ask cafeteria manager to allow them to eat lunch at no cost.
11/18-Family Spirit Day
Focus: Invite families to come out and support their favorite team for the Turkey Day Classic (ASU vs. Mississippi Valley State) or the Iron Bowl (Alabama vs. Auburn) by wearing school colors while performing morning duty (breakfast; hall duty; or afternoon dismissal). (Parent Meeting)
